style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Nos acercamos, y percibimos el dolor a trav\u00e9s de aquellos agentes colaboradores que modifican y profanan la superficie de los cuerpos. La piedra, el fuego, el hacha y la daga (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La aspereza del invierno [San Jer\u00f3nimo]<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vulnerata I-V<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), son aqu\u00ed y de nuevo, herramientas de escarnio. Pero no del m\u00e1rtir, sino del propio acto de martirio. El artista adopta la piel de un imaginero que huye del sacrificio como v\u00eda de ascenso \u2014espiritual y social, pero, y, sobre todo, laboral. Todo aqu\u00ed es negar la iconoclastia, se pierde la idea de signo. Reconocemos la cr\u00edtica velada por la policrom\u00eda. Es igual que la carcoma, que no se la ve, pero se la oye comer. Seguro que acabar\u00e1 destruy\u00e9ndolo todo.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las vejaciones ejercidas por el escultor sobre sus santos sin figura y sin rostro no son heridas de castigo, sino belleza, son consecuencia de lo infraleve. Son como el beso que desgasta el pie y la mano, el humo de la vela que ennegrece la tez, el jugo de la flor ofrecida que, en su descomposici\u00f3n, amarillea el manto.
